What’s Inside
One Exchange.
Room for Both Voices.
Each folio brings an opening thought and a response onto the same piece of paper. The sleeve carries the exchange; the box keeps it afterwards.
01
Twelve Two-Way Exchange Folios
Guided paper exchanges with a place to begin, room for a response and a detail to keep.
02
One Reusable Passing Sleeve
A single sleeve to pass a folded folio back and forth. It is reused across the set.
03
A Start Here Card
Simple guidance for choosing a note, writing what feels useful and leaving room for a reply.
04
A Gift Note
A personal way to introduce the intention behind the gift.
05
The Keepsake Box
A place to keep the folios together as the exchanges accumulate.
How It Works
Leave a Thought.
Make Room for a Reply.
The two people do not need to be ready to talk at the same time. One exchange is enough; a reply can arrive later.
01
Choose and Write
Choose one folio and begin in From Me. Write only what feels true and useful; a short response is enough.
02
Fold and Leave
Place the folded folio in the passing sleeve and leave it somewhere the other person will find it.
Choose → Write → Leave → Reply → Keep
Remember
A reply does not have to happen today.
A Closer Look
A Place to Begin.
A Place to Write Back.
Explore the folio layout and one gentle starting point from the twelve guided exchanges.
Inside an Exchange Folio
From Me.
Back to You.
Keep This.
From Me gives the first person a prompt and space to write. Back to You leaves room for the second person’s own response on the same folio.
Keep This holds the exchange together as something to return to. It is a small paper record of both perspectives, rather than a message that disappears into a screen.
Write before speaking, if that feels easier.
Leave room for a different perspective.
Keep both contributions on the same paper.
The Small Thing exchange, shown with a handwritten contribution. Pen and styling objects are not included.
01 · The Small Thing
An Ordinary Act
of Care, Noticed.
The set begins lightly, with everyday details that can be easy to miss. This exchange invites one person to name a small act that made their day easier.
The other person has space to write what they are glad was noticed. Their reply can add a new detail or simply let the noticing be enough.
“A small thing you did recently that made my day easier was…”
“Something I’m glad you noticed is…”
Giving This Gift
For the Words
Worth Making Room For.
Offer it to a partner, family member or close friend as an invitation to make space for both voices. It can mark an anniversary, a new chapter or an ordinary day together.
Use the Gift Note to explain the intention. Keep the invitation open: no perfect first sentence, no requirement to complete every folio and no expectation of an immediate response.
“For the things we say easily, the things we mean to say, and the things worth coming back to. No hurry — I’d like room for both of us.”
A personal message the giver could add
A thought to offer. A reply to leave room for. Both to keep.
Who might enjoy this gift?
Two people with a shared story they would like to remember. It can be given to a partner or to a couple, with space for everyday memories as well as significant changes.
Is this the same as a conversation card deck?
No. They can write together, take turns or contribute privately before choosing what to share. Different paces and different memories are welcome.
Do both people need to sit down together?
No. The 24 Story Moments offer separate places to begin. Recipients can choose a relevant page, skip an entry or return to it later.
Are there twelve separate passing sleeves?
No. The book also makes room for difficult chapters, change and things that remained unspoken. Each person decides what feels useful to record.
Do the folios need to be completed in order?
Small paper reminders connected to the story, such as a note, a ticket or a photograph. Avoid overfilling the pocket or adding bulky objects.
What if someone is not ready to reply or does not agree?
It is an accompanying keepsake card for a message to write now or save for another day. Its front and reverse are shown in A Closer Look.
Is it intended to resolve an unsafe relationship?
